Benefits
Eligible employees at Porter-Starke Services, Inc., including those at our Marram Health Center, are offered a competitive benefits package upon hire. A full-time regular employee is eligible for health, life, vision, and dental insurance. Coverage becomes effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. We also have competitive pay rates as well as 11 paid holidays and a generous 20% match of contributions to employees’ 401k account. • Medical plan options via UMR-Choice Plus Network, Traditional Plan or High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
• The HDHP can be used in conjunction with a Health Savings Account (HSA), with an employer contribution paid quarterly.
• Employees must work 60 hours per pay period to be eligible for medical insurance. Individual, Spouse, and Family rates available.
• Employees who participate in a medical plan are eligible to use free urgent care services in select locations.

• Dental insurance via Sun Life Insurance; vision insurance via VSP. Individual, Spouse, and Family rates available.
• Employees must work 72 hours or more per pay period to be eligible.

• Upon qualification, Porter-Starke Services will match 20% of the employee’s annual contribution.

• Basic Life: full-time employees receive basic life insurance of their annual salary amount rounded up to the next $1,000, to a maximum of $75,000.
• Long-Term Disability: provided for full-time employees and offers protection from loss of income due to an illness or injury that prevents an employee from working for a long period of time.
• Voluntary Short-Term Disability: available for full-time employees to purchase and offers protection from loss of income due to illness or injury that prevents an employee from working during a short period of time.
• Supplemental Life: employees can purchase life insurance coverage of $10,000-$300,000.
• Supplemental Spouse Life Insurance: employees can purchase life insurance coverage of $5,000-$100,000 for a spouse.
• Supplemental Child Life Insurance: employees can purchase life insurance coverage of $10,000.

• A flexible spending account gives you a valuable tax break. Eligible expenses can be paid using pre-taxed income, helping your income go further.
• Full-time employees can participate and you do not have to be enrolled in a Porter-Starke Services health plan to participate.

• Porter-Starke Services observes 11 paid holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, as well as a birthday “float” holiday).
• PTO accrues annually and may be rolled over year to year up to a total accrued amount between 364 and 434 hours (depending on job classification).
• PTO is used for vacation days, sick days, or other personal time off.

• After 1 year of employment, a full-time employee with a satisfactory work performance history in an accredited program can apply for a maximum benefit amount of $5,250 in tuition assistance.
• After 1 year of employment, a full-time employee with a bachelor’s or other advanced degree and a satisfactory work performance history can apply for a monthly amount of $200 towards educational loans.
• Porter-Starke Services is also an eligible employer under the PSLF (Public Student Loan Forgiveness) program.

• Porter-Starke Services provides employees and family members with professional, confidential counseling services through our third-party Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a comprehensive series that includes 3 free telephonic sessions annually and online support resources to promote work-life balance.

• The employee referral bonus program rewards current employees for referring qualified candidates who are then hired by Porter-Starke Services. Bonus amounts may differ based on the position filled.
